My undergraduate focus was in math and science. However, through the years I decided that relationships were more important and realized that most individuals don't have the tools to form good marriage, family, and friendship connections. Much of this is the result of poor parenting that leaves an individual fearful, without confidence, and having no idea how to navigate life's challenges. Children are precious and deserve to feel loved and secure. This is difficult if their parents weren't nurtured and shown how (primarily by example) to have a loving marriage. We deserve love in marriage, and our children need that example. My graduate studies at the University of Southern California were in sociology (sex and gender focus) and marriage and family therapy. I have years of experience in parenting, responding to domestic violence, treating pornography addiction, and helping clients who are depressed and/or anxious.

No matter what brought you here, you deserve to feel better and live the life you want. I specialize in working with young adults, therapists, LGBTQ+ folks, and perfectionists/high achievers. I'm also trained in EMDR for processing trauma. I teach coping skills to calm the brain and body in order to manage emotions. You'll learn to reframe negative self-talk, manage stress, reduce perfectionism, & improve self-esteem. We can explore past trauma & how it impacts you currently. I also empower folks to set boundaries and prioritize self-care. We'll work on breaking patterns, assertive communication, and forming healthy habits. My style is authentic, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I use a customized approach to create a style of therapy that best suits your goals. No two people are alike, and my approach to each person is just as unique. I'm pretty direct (while still being empathetic), and I encourage you to be direct with me too. Therapy isn't always serious or difficult - it can actually be a positive and uplifting part of your week. Whenever possible, I try to balance the difficult moments with lightness and hope. Check out my website for more info, or call/email if you'd like to work with me!

You feel anxious and it’s hard to shut your brain off. People tell you to relax, but it’s not that easy for you. You’ve worked hard to get where you are, but it’s hard to sit back and enjoy it. Your standards for yourself feel too high, and you question how long you can keep this up. You tend to doubt yourself and your abilities and look to other people to reassure you. It’s hard to take up space, feel confident, and speak your truth. You want to feel present in your life and like you’re able to love and appreciate yourself just as you are. You want to feel confident, courageous, and like you are able to advocate for yourself. You want to feel happy, calm, and at peace with your life, your relationships, and your career. I specialize in working with young adults with anxiety, people-pleasing tendencies, imposter syndrome, and perfectionism to build self-confidence and live a life they love. A better future is possible, and I'm here to help you create it. I can’t wait to hear from you, send me an email or call me to schedule a free phone consultation.

I operate from a stance of inclusion and honor the dignity, identities, and self-determination of the people with whom I have the great joy and privilege to work. Areas evaluations explore include the following: Trauma-and Stressor-Related Disorders, including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Autism Anxiety, depression, and mood concerns Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Intellectual/Cognitive/Learning Concerns Personality functioning Psychosis/Schizophrenia Spectrum Substance Use Behaviors **As of January 1, 2025, the range for completion of a comprehensive evaluation will be between $2,000 to $2,600 Paying the full fee if it is financially accessible helps those who have less financial capacity/privilege access evaluation services with less financial strain and is in alignment with efforts to promote equitable access to evaluation services. It allows me to run a sustainable business that promotes the highest possible quality evaluation services for all children, youth, and adults, as well as supporting my wellness as a mental health professional to ensure I show up from a space of curiosity, authenticity, and active engagement. It additionally allows me to offer reduced fee evaluations and partner with other agencies to provide some pro bono evaluations each year. The range for completion of a comprehensive evaluation was determined with the understanding that many individuals/families will pay the base level fee, and I am aware that the overall cost may impact whether individuals can pay the full cost/full fee for completion of evaluation services. If you/your loved one is in need of a reduced fee evaluation, please let me know. If I am not able to accommodate this need, I will do my best to identify providers who may be able to do so. The evaluation process includes time spent in direct contact with individuals and/or caregivers via clinical interviews and caregiver interviews for children and adolescents, face-to-face testing, scoring and interpreting assessment data, reviewing records, completing collateral calls with providers or support persons (if/as appropriate and with a release of information), writing the evaluation report, and providing feedback. Full Fee for 2024: $2300 to $2500 (Full Fee for 2025 will be $2400 to $2600)** At this fee, you are supporting and uplifting others, and helping me run a sustainable business that promotes the highest possible quality evaluation services for all individuals. This also allows me to offer reduced fee evaluations and partner with other agencies to provide some pro bono evaluations each year in an effort to promote equitable access to evaluation services. *I commit to completing reduced fee or pro bono evaluations that are equal to at least 10% of business profits for the year. The total percentage may vary year to year based on the ebb and flow of business profits and costs associated with maintaining the practice. Middle Fee for 2024: $2100 to $2200 (Middle Fee for 2025 will be $2200 to $2300)** At this level, you are helping me run a sustainable business that promotes the highest possible quality assessment services for all individuals, including you/your loved one. Base Fee: $1900 to $2000 (Base Fee for 2025 will be $2000 to $2100)** At this level, you are paying for highest possible quality assessment services for you/your loved one. My hope is that you will find ways to support others in your community in whatever way you can, financially or otherwise, if and when you have the capacity to do so. **I invite individuals/families to choose the total fee they pay within each associated fee level based on their current financial accessibility/capacity.

I have been working with adolescents and young adults for 12 years. I focus on each person's individual strengths to overcome emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I believe the therapeutic process is most successful when it is founded on a trusting, authentic, and collaborative relationship, where my clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, along with a range of other therapeutic techniques to individualize the therapy process for each client. My clinical expertise includes working with clients experiencing Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, oppositional behaviors, grief, and difficulty with major life changes or stressors (especially college transitions).

I see individuals working through transitional issues (university, relational, stage of life), common mental health issues (anxiety, depression, ADHD), and trauma (adverse childhood events, sexual/psychological/physical abuse, etc). Individuals I work with often are seeking therapy to feel more like themselves, relieve symptoms of mental health, and enjoy their day-to-day lives more. I find we are often a good fit when looking at therapy as an opportunity to connect, process, & grow. I have worked with individuals who are managing ADHD, Autism, PTSD, OCD, symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, transition of life, academic needs, relationship challenges and changes, and managing stressors throughout life and more. My goal as a therapist is to help you work through your issues, address your inner needs, and achieve your goals. I help you focus on what is most important to you by providing you a safe space to explore, express and examine the areas of your life that have been causing you stress or discomfort. In my free time, I enjoy playing tabletop board games, traveling, reading mystery and true crime thrillers, and spending time with my family and my dogs. You can text, email or call me. You can contact me at 317-731-2257. I will be taking new clients at the start of the year. I am in transition from a group practice to a solo practice!
